What does the message on the screen say?

Common problems

There's no sound, or the sound is too low

  1. Is Sound Output set correctly? Check the Sound Output setting. If it is set to TV Speaker, check the volume setting.
  2. Is the volume turned up on both the TV and the device? Check the volume control of your TV, and then check the volume control of the external device connected to your TV.
  3. Is the cable connection secure? Check the cable connection between an external device and the TV, and then try the connection again.
  4. Have you rebooted the connected device? Reboot the connected device by disconnecting and then reconnecting its power cord.

The picture is flashing, dark, or the colours look wrong

  1. Are energy-saving picture features turned on? Disable Brightness Optimisation, Energy Saving Solution, Motion Lighting or Contrast Enhancer.
  2. Does the Picture Test show a problem? Run Picture Test. When the tested image quality is normal, check the signal of the connected device.
  3. Is the picture too dim? If the screen appears too dim, try changing the settings under Reset Picture.
  4. Are the colours black and white or off? Launch Picture Test, and check whether Greyscale is set to On.

The TV won't turn on, or turns off by itself

  1. Is Sleep Timer enabled? The Sleep Timer automatically turns the TV off after a specified period of time.
  2. Is Auto Power Off or Off Timer enabled? If the Sleep Timer has not been enabled, see if Auto Power Off or Off Timer has been enabled and disable it.
  3. Is the power cord connected at both ends? Confirm that the TV's power cord is connected correctly at both ends and that the remote control is operating normally.
  4. Is the antenna or cable/satellite box connected? Make sure that the antenna cable or cable TV cable is firmly connected. If you have a cable or satellite box, confirm it is plugged in and turned on.

The TV won't connect to the network

  1. Is the network cable connected and the router powered on? Ensure that the network cable is connected and the router is powered on.
  2. Have you restarted the router? Turn the router off and back on again. This can take 2 to 3 minutes.
  3. Was the security key entered correctly? If a security key is required, make sure it has been entered correctly.
  4. Have you restarted the TV? Unplug the TV's power cord and plug it back in, or press and hold the power button for at least 3 seconds.
