Which light on the control panel is lit or flashing?

Common problems

The oven does not work at all

  1. Is there power to the oven? Check the wall switch is turned on, the fuse has not tripped, and there is no power outage in your area.
  2. Has the clock been set? The oven will not work until the clock is set, including after a power cut.
  3. Is the display lit but the oven still not heating? The oven may be set for automatic cooking and will turn on later at the set time.

The oven light does not come on

  1. Has the clock been set? The oven will not work, and the light will not come on, until the clock is set.
  2. Has the light bulb blown? Replace the bulb or bulbs following the steps for your model.
  3. Does the light stay off just when you open the door? This is normal. The light only comes on once you have selected a cooking function.

The oven is not heating

  1. Are you opening the door too often during cooking? Make sure the door is properly closed and avoid opening it frequently while cooking.
  2. Has the clock been set? The oven will not heat up until the clock has been set.

The fan keeps running after I turn the oven off

  1. Is the oven still hot? If the oven is over a certain temperature, the cooling fan turns on by itself to cool it down. This is normal.
  2. Have you set a delayed start with automatic cooking? The fan may run while the oven waits, but it will not heat up until the start time arrives. This is normal.
