Answers and step-by-step fixes from the official Mitsubishi manual.
What is the operation indicator lamp doing?
- Lit: Unit is working to reach your set temperature. The room is still about 2°C or more away from the temperature you set.
- Blinking: Room is nearly at your set temperature. The room temperature is now close to the temperature you set.
- Not lit: Unit is in standby (multi system only). When several indoor units share one outdoor unit, a unit in standby waits its turn between cooling and heating.
Common problems
The unit will not turn on
- Is the breaker turned on? Check the breaker for the air conditioner's power supply.
- Is the power supply plug connected? Make sure the plug is pushed in fully.
- Is the on timer set? If the on timer is set, the unit will only start at that time.
The room does not cool or heat enough
- Is the temperature setting appropriate? Check that the set temperature is right for cooling or heating.
- Is the fan setting appropriate? Change the fan speed to High or Super High to cool or heat faster.
- Are the filters clean? Dirty filters reduce airflow and performance.
- Are there obstacles blocking the air inlet or outlet? Clear anything blocking the indoor or outdoor unit's air inlet or outlet.
The remote control does not work
- Are the batteries exhausted? Weak batteries can stop the remote from working.
- Is the battery polarity correct? Check that the positive and negative ends are the right way round.
- Did you press the reset button after replacing batteries? The reset button must be pressed after fitting new batteries or the remote may not work right.
- Get close to the indoor unit The signal may not reach the indoor unit depending on room conditions.
Water leaks from the indoor unit
- Is the front panel closed accurately? An improperly closed front panel can let water leak out.
- Does water flow smoothly from the drain hose? Check that water drains freely from the edge of the drain hose.
