Answers and step-by-step fixes from the official Fisher & Paykel manual.
What fault code or light is showing?
- A1: Water supply fault. The machine detected a problem with the incoming water supply during the wash.
- A3: Drawer cannot drain. The drain hose or its connection may be blocked or kinked.
- A6: Spray arm problem (or low water pressure). The spray arm has loosened or come off, or water pressure may be too low.
- A7: Too much foam detected. The dishwasher has started an auto recovery program because of excess foam in the drawer.
- A09: Sanitize temperature not reached. The sanitize cycle did not reach the temperature needed to sanitize the dishes.
- F: F fault code. The machine will beep continuously and show an F code when a fault has occurred.
- 0: Sanitize cycle successful. The display shows 0 and the sanitize light stays lit when sanitizing has worked.
- Salt indicator red: Salt reservoir needs filling. A red salt indicator means the water softener salt is low.
- Rinse aid indicator red: Rinse aid is low. A bright red rinse aid indicator means it is time to refill.
Common problems
Dishes aren't coming out clean
- Is this the right wash program for how dirty the dishes are? Pick the program that matches the soil level of the load.
- Can the spray arm turn freely? Check nothing is blocking it and that it's fitted correctly.
- Are the filter plate and drain filter clean and fitted right? A blocked or badly fitted filter will reduce wash performance.
- Did you scrape food off the dishes first? Leftover food on dishware can stop items coming out clean.
Water is leaking from the dishwasher
- Is the drain hose connected to the waste pipe? Reconnect it if it has come loose.
- Is the water inlet hose connected correctly? Make sure it is fitted securely.
- Is the rinse aid dispenser plug closed properly? The hand grip should sit upright and the plug should feel tight.
- Is the leak coming from somewhere else? Turn off the power and water supply and call for service.
The drawer won't open
- Is CHILDLOCK turned on? Turn CHILDLOCK off to unlock the drawer.
- Did the closed-drawer auto lock kick in? Press any button and open the drawer within 30 seconds.
- Has the wash cycle actually finished? It may still be in a quiet phase needed for best performance. No action is needed, it will become audible again soon.
The dishwasher won't start
- Is the power supply connected? Connect the power supply if it isn't plugged in.
- Is the drawer closed properly? Make sure the drawer is firmly closed.
- Is KEYLOCK or CHILDLOCK turned on? Turn the lock feature off before starting a wash.
- Is the dishwasher stuck in Demo mode? If so, contact Customer Care.
