Common problems
My coffee isn't hot enough
- Did you warm the cups first? Cold cups cool the coffee down. Rinse the cups with hot water before pouring.
- Has it been a few minutes since your last coffee? The infuser cools down after two to three minutes. Run the rinse function to heat it before making coffee.
- Is the coffee temperature set too low? Raise the temperature setting in the menu.
My coffee is weak, watery, or only comes out a drop at a time
- Is the coffee weak or not creamy enough? The grind is too coarse. Turn the grinding dial one click anticlockwise toward 1 while the mill is running, one click at a time.
- Is the coffee delivered too slowly or a drop at a time? The grind is too fine. Turn the grinding dial one click clockwise toward 7 while the mill is running, one click at a time.
- Is nothing coming out of one or both spouts? The coffee spouts are blocked. Clean them with a toothpick.
My machine won't turn on
- Is it plugged into the wall socket? Plug the machine into the mains socket.
- Is the main switch on? Press the main switch on the side of the machine.
Milk won't come out or has little or poor froth
- Is the milk container lid clean? A dirty lid stops milk flowing properly. Clean the milk container lid.
- Is the milk cold enough? Use light or skimmed milk at fridge temperature, about 5°C.
- Is the froth dial set correctly? Check and adjust the froth dial to the setting for your drink.
- Is the hot water/steam connection nozzle clean? A dirty nozzle gives poor froth. Clean the connection nozzle.
