Common problems
My coffee isn't hot enough
- Did you warm the cups first? Cold cups cool the coffee quickly. Rinse the cups with hot water before brewing.
- Has it been a few minutes since your last coffee? If two to three minutes pass between coffees, the infuser cools down. Run a rinse cycle to reheat it before brewing.
- Is the coffee temperature set low? Check the coffee temperature setting in the menu and raise it if needed.
My coffee is weak, watery, or comes out slowly
- Is the coffee weak or not creamy? The grind is too coarse. Turn the grinding dial one click counter clockwise towards 1 while the mill is running, one click at a time.
- Does coffee drip out a drop at a time? The grind is too fine. Turn the grinding dial one click clockwise towards 7 while the mill is running, one click at a time.
- Still not to your taste after adjusting? The effect only shows after two coffees. If it is still not right, try a different coffee brand.
No coffee comes out
- Is one or both spouts blocked? Clean the spout holes with a toothpick.
- Does the display say Cleaning underway? The machine detected impurities in its circuits and is running a clean cycle. Wait for it to finish, then choose your drink again.
- Does it still not work after that? Contact Customer Care if the problem continues.
My milk won't froth properly
- Is the milk container lid clean? A dirty lid stops milk coming out or frothing well. Clean the lid and tubes.
- Is the milk cold enough? Use light or skimmed milk straight from the refrigerator, about 41°F (5°C). Try a different brand if the result is still poor.
- Is the froth dial set correctly? Check and adjust the froth dial position for the drink you want.
- Is the steam connection nozzle dirty? Clean the hot water and steam connection nozzle.
